Perfect Evening Out
It was a perfect evening out.
- It started with a most excellent meal at West Cafe
- Then some quick bargain hunting at Pioneer Place.
- And we were all proud of ourselves for resisting desert.
- Portland Arts and Lectures was a very good one. Author Colson Whitehead was funny, engaging and not in any way pretentious. I have been reading at least one book of each author in this year's series. I didn't connect with Whitehead's book Apex Hides the Hurt but now I want to go back and give him another chance especially his book of essays, The Colossus of New York
- And we were home in bed by 9:30
It was a perfect night out.
